Julian studied graphic design, printmaking and illustration at Eastbourne College of Art under printmaker Robert Tavener graduating as an LSIAD.

After working for several years at Conran Associates in London and throughout Europe, Julian set up his own design consultancy in 1985.

He is now focusing on original paintings (see 'news' page for details about the Daily Painting project) and marketing/coaching for other visual artists. (see 'workshops' page for details)

Julian is also a director of the newly formed Eastbourne Festival CIC, set up to run the Festival in 2009 and beyond.
